A helpful video out of Paul Smiths College on how climate change impacts lakes like ours.
This year arrange to have a native shrub or tree planted to honor or memorialize friends and family members with a truly unique, living gift idea. This Holiday Season, consider giving a meaningful gift to show and share how much you care about your cherished family and friends.
Consider being a ThanksGiver in 2020 A bottle of wine can be gone in an evening, but a native plant will continue to grow for generations and at Silver Lake it will help to protect a valuable water resource. No matter the distance between you and the people you care about this Holiday Season, your living gift will symbolize how your relationship is something to be thankful for.
A thoughtful gift for that special member of your family Looking for a perfect gift for someone who has everything? The latest toys, gadgets or gizmos might only get sparing use after the Holiday celebrations pass, but a living, native plant grows and makes a positive impact for generations!
A meaningful commemoration of your relationships Lifelong friends, acquaintances, neighbors and associates alike understand the symbolic message conveyed by carefully planting a living plant for our planet and as a way to celebrate milestones (births, graduations, promotions, etc.) and helping friendships to also grow into the future!
Something green for co-workers & employees What do you get for your boss this time of year? If you are the boss, what do you give all your employees?! Strategically placed and installed native plants are a unique, high impact gift for your friends at the office, and show how you care about more than just the bottom line.
Each donor will receive a personalized Certificate similar to the one pictured.
For the past three years we have been planting native trees and shrubs along tributaries flowing into Silver Lake. Your purchase will assist us in this effort and provide a lasting memory of a friend, family member or loved one.
Citizen Led Environmental Action Network at Silver Lake's (CLEAN) main activity is facilitating Silver Lake (Wyoming County, New York) water quality improvement to enhance lives and sustainability within the watershed. Our organization works closely with the Silver Lake Association, Wyoming County Soil and Water Resource Conservation Committee (WCSWRCC) and the Silver Lake Watershed Commission
